Posted May 11, 2012 at 12:00 am

A local restaurant, Hometown Cafe, will be conducting a fundraiser for the Make A Wish Foundation from 5-9 p.m. May 19, 2012.

The Pig Out for A Good Cause campaign “Holey Cow Challenge” will give prominence to someone with a huge appetite and ability to consume a one pound beef burger with all the veggies and french fries, a total of two pounds of food, in 30 minutes or less. The winner’s meal will be free if finished in the allotted time.

Donations will be accepted at the door for persons wishing to only watch the competition.

Some confirmed contestants are Daphne Culver of The Granny Whites, Lucinda Perry of Hohenwald, and Anna Ashton of Nashville.
